Horizonscan

Informatie over de Nederlandse Horizonscans

In 2006 werd door de toenmalige Commissie van Overleg Sectorraden (COS) een Horizonscan uitgevoerd, waarvan het eindrapport in 2007 verscheen.

STT was destijds organisatorisch en inhoudelijk betrokken bij de vormgeving van de scan. Het voorzitterschap berustte bij Roel in ’t Veld (RMNO) en Hans van der Veen (STT).

Na afronding van de Nederlandse horizonscan is een aantal vervolg-activiteiten opgestart in Europees verband , waarvoor Victor van Rij (OCW) nationaal coördinator was. De door de EC vanuit het Zevende kaderprogramma voor Onderzoek en ontwikkeling gesteunde samenwerking dient ter bevordering van ontwikkeling van methoden en transnationale scan activiteiten.

In verband met de afstoting van de horizonscantaak bij OCW is o.a. de Horizonscanwebsite per 1 december 2010 overgedragen aan STT.

STT bezag in 2009/2010 de mogelijkheden om in samenhang met de in Europees verband ontwikkelde samenwerking tot een nationale vervolgactiviteit te komen ten behoeve van o.a. een 'rolling agenda' voor verkenningsthema's van STT.

Information about the Netherlands Horizonscan activities

The first Netherlands Horizon Scan 2007 was carried out by a specially established team that operated under the communal responsibility of the COS. The team’s work was supported by a number of sounding board groups.
After completion of the Dutch Horizon scan some European projects have elaborated on the national scanning activities of the Netherlands and of some other European countries as the UK and Denmark. These EC (FP7) supported projects’ focus on data fusion and methodological aspects of scanning, its National Coordinator is Victor van RIj.
The Netherlands Study centre for Technology Trends is considering the possibilities for an follow up of the 2007 scan integrating the results of the European cooperation.
